The property is very good equipped and has a good location to explore the Isle of Skye.

The Mill, Uig is a traditional 18th Century mill that has been converted to a unique holiday home on the Isle of Skye. This holiday cottage has a stunning riverside location by the River Conon on the Trotternish Peninsula. The small town of Uig is the ferry port to go to and from the Western Isles and there are local grocery shops as well as cafes and restaurants/hotels in the area.
The stone floor porch leads to the cosy lounge with flat screen TV with Freeview, Wi-Fi and comfy leather sofas. It is light and bright with french doors leading to the spacious kitchen / dining room. This room has a caithness flagstone floor and you can see where the waterwheel came into the mill through the round window. There are french doors that lead to the garden. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer and washing machine. There is a tumble dryer available for guests to use in the outside shed. The dining table comfortably seats 6 people. There is also a downstairs cloakroom with W.C.
Upstairs there are two double bedrooms. The generous master bedroom has a King sized bed, a TV with DVD player and a selection of DVD's. It also has a shower ensuite with W.C and has views over Uig bay. The other double bedroom has a storage and views towards the river. The third bedroom is a single bedroom with a chest of drawers for storage. There is a family bathroom with a shower over bath, W.C. and wash hand basin.
The garden surrounds The Mill and there is a picnic bench, perfect for enjoying sunny days and listening to the birds chirp away! There is private parking to the side of The Mill.

The Mill is a beautiful house with lots of character. Absolutely everything we needed was provided and we felt very much at home. The house was warm, It was very clean, theres lots of space and the showers were great – important after a long day walking!
Seamus and Maggie gave us a lovely welcome and were very kind.
The location is great. It was lovely to walk down to the shore of the beautiful bay at sunset and look out for the otters and seals.
Its very close to so many beautiful places in Skye including the falls of Rha, the fairy glen, and the Quairang. It made a great base to explore the whole island but you could easily stay very local for a week because its a lovely part of Skye.
The village is quiet but theres an extremely good shop almost next door and we had a great meal out at The Galley just up the road. There is a pub and hotel but they werent taking bookings when we were there due to Covid. Big Co-op in Portree and fish and chips in the harbour.

Really needed a well earned break and this was just the spot. The Mill is in excellent condition and is well furnished.
It is well located for an isolated holiday, nest to a lovely run ins stream/river. You have private access to a wooded area along with the stream.
A very short stroll and your by the sea. The bay is rocky and somewhat industrial due to being a ferry port, but lovely nonetheless. The actual town itself is a short drive or a 20 minute walk.
There is a handy shop just a 2 or 3 minute walk away.
It was out first time on Skye and we were blown away by the beauty of the island.
The owner met us on several occasions and was really lovely and helpful. Would definitely recommend and would love to come back!
