The Cottage, Willowbank, is a lovely light and bright cottage located in a peaceful area of Portree on the Isle of Skye with fantastic view of Loch Portree, the Cuillins, Ben Tianavaig and Portree town centre. Just a short 5 minute walk from the town centre.
On entering The Cottage you have a bright hallway, To the left you have the lounge, with two sofas, a coffee table and a TV. The lounge has a patio door leading on to the decking area which hosts fantastic views of Portree.
A spacious and bright open plan kitchen and dining room, the kitchen is well equipped with a sink, cooker, hob, microwave, toaster and kettle. For those partial to cup of coffee, there is also a De'Longhi coffee machine using Nescafe Dolce Gusta pods. The dining table and chairs seats up to six people, and are next to patio doors giving views over Portree.
The Cottage has a utility room for guest's use with a washing machine and a line for drying lighter items.
The master bedroom is a double room with double bed, two bedside tables, two lamps, a large mirrored wardrobe and a TV. The double room has the addition of an en-suite shower room.
The second bedroom is a twin bedroom with two single beds, two bedside tables, two lamps, a large mirrored wardrobe and a TV. There is a sink and mirror in this bedroom.
The family bathroom is just off the hallway and has a walk-in shower, W.C. and sink.
The front garden is ample size with two sets of stone chairs and tables perfect for enjoying the views and relaxing. Please note the decking and the wooden path area is very slippery when wet – caution should be taken.
There is a parking area for up to two cars at the front of the property.
Willowbank house, the property adjacent to The Cottage, has CCTV to the outside of the property only.

The Cottage at Willowbank was perfect for us. Central location.Stunning views of the bay. Well equipped and had everything we needed. Waited 3 years to be able to book this house and it was worth the wait. Quiet and peaceful. Already booked for 2027.

A very good and quietly located accommodation with beautiful views and only a 10-minute walk from the centre of Portree. The cottage is very well equipped, we felt very comfortable there. One small drawback: you can smell that it is heated with oil.
Nevertheless, we would definitely book there again on our next trip to Skye.
