The Blue Lobster wooden forestry cottage is nestled at the end of a small road in the forest of Glen Eynort on the Isle of Skye. It is only a short walk from the cottage to the sheltered seashore where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the coastline and the soothing sounds of the waves. The surrounding forest features several walking routes of varying lengths and challenge levels.
A short drive will lead you to Carbost where there are a selection of cafe's and restaurants, along with the famous Talisker Distillery. There is a small shop within Carbost, providing a selection of groceries and essentials.
It is roughly a 6 mile drive to Talisker bay and a 12 mile drive to Glenbrittle beach, the Cuillins, and the fairy pools.
On entering there is a porch area for jackets and shoes. This leads into the kitchen, You will find a sink, oven, kettle, and a Murphy Richards filter coffee machine, as well as a French press and toaster. Additionally, the kitchen includes a microwave and a fridge with a freezer compartment. The dining area is the next room you enter with dining table with seats for up to six guests and a vertical wood burner.
The Lounge is bright and spacious, nestled around the inbuilt open fire, with large patio doors leading out to the decking area and garden. There are two sofas, some board games, and a selection of books.The hallway leads on from the lounge which leads you to the three bedrooms, two of which are twin bedrooms with two single beds, bedside tables, and a wardrobe. The third is a double bedroom with double bed, two bedside tables and a wardrobe. One of the twin rooms, and the double, both have inbuilt sinks included. This hallway also contains the family bathroom with bath and overhead shower, toilet and sink, as well as a separate WC at the end of the hallway with a toilet and sink.
Outside there is a decking area and large garden surrounding the property with plenty of space for lawn games, outdoor meals, or pets. There is access to the river at the bottom of the garden via the gate.
There is no TV at the property, WiFi is available as a complimentary service; however, due to the remote location, the connection may be intermittent or slower than usual.
There is parking for up to two cars.
Please note – access to the property is via forestry track, it is not suitable for cars with low suspension.
