Taigh Cill Chriosd, Swordale is a beautiful spacious family home with stunning mountain views from every main room. Beinn na Caillidh stands proud with Loch Cill Chriosd and the church ruins of Cill Chriosd in the foreground. There are ample walks to be enjoyed from the front door including the old marble railway line and the path that takes you to the clearance villages of Boreraig and Suisnish.
The town of Broadford is a 10 min drive away and you will find most amenities there. In the other direction is Elgol where you can take boat trips to Loch Coruisk and other smaller islands such as Canna, Rum, Soay & Eigg, and soak up even more atmospheric views!
On entering Taigh Cill Chriosd there is a porch area for jackets and shoes and a side table. There is a spacious open plan lounge and kitchen. The lounge is cosy with log burning stove, sofa, coffee table and TV. There are patio doors which lead out into the garden where there is a picnic bench to enjoy the views on a summer evening.
The kitchen is fully equipped with double oven, hob, dishwasher, kettle, toaster and microwave. Also an American style fridge freezer. There is a dining area with dining table and six chairs. Off the front porch, there is a utility room with washing machine and dryer, and a cloakroom with W.C..
The master bedroom is at the end of the house with King size bed, two beside tables, two lamps and a mirror. There is an ensuite with bath with overhead shower, toilet, sink and mirror. There are patio doors leading out into the garden.
There are two twin bedrooms with two twin beds, two beside tables, two lamps and a mirror. The first twin bedroom has an ensuite with shower, toilet and sink. The second twin bedroom has an ensuite with bath with overhead shower, toilet, sink and mirror.
Outside there is a large garden area with picnic bench and washing pole.
There is a parking area with space for up to three cars.
This property is not suitable for charging electric vehicles, though there are points on the island to do this.
There is Starlink internet available which is very fast and reliable – though please note that in Skye the weather can be extreme at times meaning there are occasional outages.
Strictly no pets and no smoking on this property!
