Kilmartin Cottage, Staffin is a spacious bungalow overlooking Staffin Bay. Located just above the shoreline, it enjoys uninterrupted views of the Torridon mountains, the Quiraing and even the Isle of Lewis on a clear day. With walks from the doorstep to the Quiraing and along the coast to find dinosaur footprints at Staffin Beach, it is ideal for people looking ro enjoy the great outdoors!

Kilmartin Cottage has a spacious entrance hall, perfect for leaving muddy shoes at the door and drying any damp clothes. The living room has large picture windows making the most of the views. The sofa's are very comfortable and are the ideal place to watch the world go by! There are FreeSat TV and Wi-Fi and board games, just in case the mist rolls in! The lounge leads into the dining room where there is a family dining table seating 6 people.

The large kitchen has ample room for everyone to help with family meals. There is an electric oven and induction hob, microwave, Geepas coffee machine, dishwasher and a fridge freezer. In the utility room there is also a washing machine and the back door leads into the garden.

The master bedroom has an en-suite shower room with W.C. and wash hand basin. There are large mirrored wardrobes to store clothes as well as bedside cabinets. The other two bedrooms both have bedside cabinets and built-in wardrobes, one is a double room and the other is a twin bedroom. The family bathroom has a walk in shower, bath, W.C. and wash hand basin.

Outside there is ample parking for up to three vehicles. The cottage is surrounded by a grassy garden with plenty of space for kids to run around in!

Despite the fact that we had really bad weather conditions (in July) we had a very lovely stay at the cottage. The neighbour is very friendly (You have to drive or walk down their driveway to the cottage.) Our small dog was feeling well in the cottage and the garden too. You can hear and see the sheep in the pasture next to the cottage. The mattress in the master bedroom was quite worn out. When we stripped the bed, as requested, we saw that both the box spring and the mattress itself were in desperate need of replacement! It was a disappointing sight! Especially considering the priceabout 1,600 pounds for 4 nights.

The house was in a stunning location. It was clean. However, the washing machine was not working. Could do with oven gloves and tea towels! Some new chopping boards and wooden spoons, as they were in poor condition.

First time back to Skye in twenty years and what an excellent property and location to celebrate this. Looking out over Staffin Bay every day was amazing as it changed every day, we even had a dusting of snow on the day we left. The property is perfectly laid out and warm with the patio doors overlooking the bay adding to the overall experience. Plenty of very nice walks nearby, especially An Corran beach for the dinosaur footprints, still debating if we saw them or not. The local Staffin stores carried a lot of the basics required with Portree having more to offer. Islands and Highlands went above and beyond to help solve a minor problem and would recommend using them to others. It will not be another twenty years before we return.
