Tigh Na Allt is a cosy and tranquil cottage located in Dunan, just north of Broadford on the Isle of Skye. Tigh Na Allt has amazing views out to Loch Na Cairidh and the Island of Scalpay, making it an ideal place to relax and unwind.
Entering Tigh Na Allt there is a porch area with washing machine and shelves for drying jackets and shoes. The hallway leads round to the open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area.
Throughout the cottage you'll discover lovely little touches of the Isle of Skye.
This open plan room is spacious and bright with a lot of natural light coming in from the large windows from which you can also enjoy the extensive views and the sliding door gives access to the decking at the front of the property. The lounge has a corner sofa, T.V., selection of books and coffee table. There is a chair and foot stool facing the windows to look out and admire the view. A pair of binoculars are kept in the property for guests to look out to the loch where you may be lucky and spot white tailed sea eagles. You can also catch a glimpse of the Aurora lighting up the sky if you are really lucky!
The modern kitchen has a hob, oven, microwave, kettle and toaster. There is a fridge freezer and a selection of utensils and crockery. The dining area has a table and two benches from which to savour your culinary creations.
The bathroom has a bath with shower over, toilet, sink, mirror and unit.
The master bedroom has a double bed, two bedside tables, two built-in wardrobes, a dressing table and a stool. There is direct access to an outside decking area with cover over head.
In the garden there are bird feeders under the rowan tree, perfect for bird watching in the morning. And on the decking, there is a table and two chairs for sunny days.
There is parking outside for up to two cars.
One well behaved dog welcome, strictly not allowed in the bedroom. Please be VERY wary of sheep roaming outside the plot complex so make sure your dog is on the lead during transit from opening gates to out on the roadside.
There is a pet fee of £30.
Please ensure gates are kept shut at all times.

Tigh Na Allt was clean, beautifully decorated, comfortable and with an absolutely amazing view across to Scalpay. I was lucky enough to spot an otter in the bay and red deer on the opposite shore. There were even a couple of evenings when rainbows appeared over the sound between the sunshine and showers. It’s ideally situated for Broadford and Portree. This was such a relaxing place to stay I would 100% recommend.

We loved our stay here. This lovely little cottage is fairly newly built and is very well equipped with a modern kitchen and bathroom, beautifully furnished, very comfy bed and is very cosy with full central heating plus an added woodburner in case of wet and deary days. It was very handy to have the use of the washing machine. The view from the big patio windows is amazing and we didnt need to close any of the curtains as theres no light pollution. Its only a few miles from Broadford which has a very good Co-op store, a couple of take-aways and a variety of places to eat the Shellfish Shack does fantastic fresh seafood and is really worth a try. All in all, a great place to stay for a while and enjoy the dramatic scenery of Skye.
