10 Husabost is a modern, spacious holiday cottage surrounded by a landscaped garden and enjoys views over Loch Dunvegan to Dunvegan Castle, the Cuillins, Macleod’s Table and the Minch to Harris. Located near Colbost and shops and restaurants in Glendale (2 m.) and Dunvegan (7 m.), it is ideal for those looking to frequent The Three Chimneys restaurant (booking recommended) as well as exploring Waterstein with Neist Point and the rest of the Isle of Skye.

Completed in Autumn 2021, it has been lovingly furnished by the owners. Attention to detail can be seen throughout the property as little thoughtful touches are discovered. The design of tile work throughout is a nod to Scottish textiles. The ground floor is handicapped accessible.

The property is entered through the entrance porch where coat hooks await damp jackets and there is ample space for outdoor footwear to be left behind. The utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer is next door, whilst the hallway leads off into the heart of the home; the spacious open plan living / dining / kitchen area. With windows on three walls, the room has a sense of light and openness. Through each window the views can be enjoyed. On wet days, from the comfort of an armchair. On warm sunny days, patio doors can be opened.

The kitchen is very well equipped. There is a central island with an induction hob, oven and extractor fan overhead and a large fridge freezer provides space for food for all the family. There is a microwave, dishwasher, coffee bean grinder and French press. The main dining table seats four people comfortably and there is a second table that seats two. There is seating for 6 people, positioned so that the sea views can distract your attention while watching TV. The electric fire provides ambience and creates a cosy atmosphere in the evenings.

There is a double room with king size bed, wardrobe, reading lights and a chair on the ground floor. The ensuite shower room has double sinks, a bidet, WC and walk in shower. There is a separate ground floor cloakroom with WC and wash hand basin off the hallway.

Stairs lead up to the bright first floor landing where an office / gym space has been created. There is a printer for guests to use, exercise bike and yoga mats. The twin bedroom has two single beds, bedside cabinets, reading lights, built in wardrobes and a bath ensuite with shower over. The double bedroom has a king size bed, built in wardrobes and a shower ensuite.

Outdoors, there is a paved patio area with a portable Morso fire pit/pizza oven to enjoy the long summer evenings and toast marshmallows on. There is private parking for up to two vehicles.

Intrepid walkers may enjoy trekking over the hill to Glendale, down the wildflower edged road past cottage and church ruins to Borreaig, or across the lower field and down the wooded, bluebell carpeted slope to the rocky beach. Please note that this is a working croft and there may be cattle and sheep grazing in the fields.
