14 Upper Milovaig

14 Upper Milovaig is a well appointed modern holiday cottage with excellent views looking over Loch Pooltiel. Nestled on the hillside, guests can relax watching the weather and the fantastic sunsets through the picture windows. Upper Milovaig is a crofting township near Glendale where you will find a local shop, cafes and weekly market during the summer months. Neist Point is only 3 miles away and there are stunning cliff top walks to explore the area further.

As you enter 14 Upper Milovaig via the entrance porch with it's utility area, there is a mini freezer with 31L capacity. There is ample space for damp jackets and boots to be left behind and the washing machine is perfectly situated for muddy clothes! There is a whirlygig in the garden for clothes to dry. The utility area also houses the heat pump which helps to reduce the cottage's impact on the environment.

The hallway leads to the light and bright open plan lounge / dining / kitchen. This is the heart of the home and where hours can be spent unwinding and relaxing. With large picture windows letting the countryside into the cottage, it really makes you feel as though you are part of the landscape on the Isle of Skye. There is a telescope that you can use to look closely at the surrounding views and nature. There is a corner sofa and armchair with footstool to curl up upon, and the log burner creates a warm and cosy ambiance. A starter pack of wood is provided for each stay. There is fibre optic broadband available for guests to use throughout the cottage.

The kitchen is well thought out and has an induction hob, integrated oven, under counter fridge and dishwasher. For coffee lovers there is a french press and filter coffee machine. Please note: there is no freezer. The dining table seats up to 6 people very comfortably and the sliding doors lead out onto the wrap around decking area, letting you extend the living area outside.

There are two bedrooms, tastefully furnished with Anta throws and cushions which bring the colours of the area inside. The master bedroom has an ensuite shower room with W.C., wash hand basin and walk in shower. There is a double bed, bed side cabinets with reading lamps, a hanging area for clothes and storage. The twin bedroom has two single beds, a bedside cabinet and reading light plus area for hanging and storing clothes and belongings. There is a hair dryer, iron and ironing board for guests to use.Also there is a kids buster seat for guest. The family shower room has a W.C., wash hand basin and walk in shower.

All bath towels and kitchen linen are made from organic cotton along with most of the bed linen.

Outside there is a wrap-around decking area from which the views over the croftland and Loch Pooltiel can be enjoyed. The gravel car park has space for two vehicles and there are no steps to the front door from the parking area.

The house has a Bose speaker with wi-fi adaptor (so any bluetooth smartphone should be able to connect).

The property is cleaned with eco friendly product whenever possible.
