Guests enter the cottage through a light and bright entrance porch. Coat hooks are provided for damp jackets to dry and muddy boots to be left behind. The double height hallway leads to the snug and cosy lounge. Complete with wood burner, TV with DVD player (catch-up TV only), WiFi and very comfortable seating, it is a great room for cosy nights in. Along the hallway is the main dining room with dining table and seating for up to 6 guests. A high chair can be requested at the time of booking.
The dining room opens in to the very spacious kitchen / diner / lounge area which becomes the heart of the home. The kitchen is very well equipped with two full size ovens, a 5 ring halogen hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave and plenty of worktop and storage space. There is a family dining table with six chairs, perfect for breakfast and a cup of coffee, and a second lounge area with two sofa's letting you enjoy the sea views in comfort! The utility room has two, 10 kg washer/dryers, iron and ironing board and a clothes horse for guests to use.
The spiral staircase leads to the spacious master bedroom with en-suite bathroom. There is a super-king size bed with bedside tables and lamps, a chest of drawers, walk in wardrobe, full length mirror and a seating area. The bedroom enjoys sea and mountain views over the crofts. The en-suite bathroom has a bath with shower over, a heated towel rail, W.C. and a wash hand basin.
From the main hallway, a narrow staircase leads to two further bedrooms. Both have a super-king size bed that can be changed into twin beds (please note: these will always be set up together unless requested at time of booking), a wardrobe with full length mirror, chest of drawers and bedside tables and lamps. The views are over the crofts and hills. They share the family bathroom which has a bath with shower over, a heated towel rail, W.C. and a wash hand basin.
9 Achnacloich is surrounded by a grassy garden and there is a picnic table to enjoy alfresco dining! There is parking for up to three vehicles to the front of the house. Please note: the house is accessed along a farm track that will have no livestock on it, so please keep the gates closed at all times to ensure this is maintained.
