Portree, Portree Area

6b Penifiler is a recently built larch wood house with solid oak floors, lovely furnishings and a modern retro style kitchen. Just a 10 min drive from Portree, it has easy access to the amenities but feels in the country! The house enjoys fantastic views over Loch Portree towards the town with the Old Man of Storr rising above in the distance. Whilst in the other direction, the Cuillins can be seen.

This cosy and comfortable holiday home has an easy to light wood burning stove and eco friendly heat recovery system providing warmth and clean air in house. To welcome you we provide tea, coffee, milk and a snack. Scottish soaps, Ecover laundry and cleaning products and toilet paper are also provided plus several basic household items.

The ground floor has disabled access with wide doorways. The open plan living area has an oak dining table and four chairs, a spacious sitting area with G Plan furniture and a T.V. with FreeSat, Smart Speaker, I pod dock and radio. Great views of Ben Tianavaig, our local mountain, and over Portree bay to the town and harbour can be enjoyed from the comfort of the armchair! The kitchen is well equipped with a Neff oven and induction hob, dishwasher, microwave, cafetiere, toaster and kettle.

Also on the ground floor there is a spacious bathroom with walk in shower, bidet, W.C. and wash hand basin as well as the master bedroom with queen size double bed, fitted wardrobes and picture window with view of the Cuillin mountains. The utility room has a Miele washer and tumble dryer.

Upstairs, the second bedroom has a double sofa bed with a comfortable memory foam mattress. The bathroom has a W.C., wash hand basin and bidet. There is also an open plan den / study / T.V. room with Sky T.V., WiFi and a computer screen and printer for guests to use. The sofa can be requested to be made as a sofa bed at the time of booking for an additional fee of £50. Please note: though this room can act as a third bedroom, the property still sleeps a maximum of four people.

The garden is accessed easily via the patio door by the dining area. The garden chairs can be moved round the house outside to catch the sun all day. The small decking area gets the morning sun for breakfast al fresco depending on the weather! There is also ample parking for two or three cars.

Two adult all terrain bikes with helmets and garden furniture are stored in the shed. Maps and walking books can be found in the house to help you enjoy your stay exploring the Isle of Skye.
