Kensaleyre, North East Skye
The front door leads into a bright porch where there are hooks for coats, a solid Larch bench for bags and room for storing shoes. This leads into the lounge / dining / kitchen area which forms the heart of the home.
The lounge, featuring the original stone wall, has a very comfortable sofa and arm chair to seat at least four people, a coffee table, large wall mounted TV with FreeView, Fast Fibre WiFi and patio doors leading out onto the decking overlooking Loch Snizort. The TV is set up with an entertainment package through NowTV. You may also access Amazon Video and Netflix using your own account credentials.
The dining area has floor to ceiling windows offering lovely views whilst savouring great culinary delights! The dining table seats four people easily. There is a large log burning stove which will create a warm and cosy atmosphere on wintry nights.
The kitchen is well equipped with an electric induction hob, double oven, fridge with ice box, slimline dishwasher, microwave and Nespresso machine. If you prefer, there is a cafetière and hot water kettle. The central island has two stools and offers more worktop space. There is a glass door leading out to the side of the cottage and the garden, where you can hear an adjacent stream peacefully bubbling towards the loch.
Also on the ground floor there is a utility room with full size washing machine and vented tumble dryer, and a cloakroom with W.C. and wash hand basin.
The stairs lead up to the landing and the two double bedrooms. Each bedroom has a king size double bed, bedside cabinets with reading lights, storage shelves, hanging area space with coat hangers, arm chair and an en-suite bathroom with walk in shower, W.C. and wash hand basin. The en-suite in the master bedroom also has a bath. Both bedrooms also enjoy sea views over Loch Snizort.
Outside the decking leads onto the gravel driveway where there is ample parking for two vehicles. A grassy lawn leads down to the gate, giving direct access onto the shore of Loch Snizort. There is much to explore whether the tide is in or out. Peaceful beach walks are a delight and often you will see abundant wildlife sharing the loch.
Please Note: The cottage is accessed by a steep driveway.
