Taigh Aonghais is in the tranquil community of Tarskavaig on the stunning Sleat Peninsula. Set in amongst the crofts and surrounded by mature trees and shrubs, Taigh Aonghais enjoys views towards the Isle of Rum. It is a charming traditional cottage dating back to 1905 and is packed full of original features.

The old fuchsia hedge leads you to the front door which opens into a very welcoming porch. Bright and airy, it’s the perfect place for removing muddy boots after walks along the dramatic coastline.

In the traditional kitchen, as well as a solid fuel range, there is an electric hob, oven and grill, small washing machine and a fridge with plenty of cutlery and kitchenware. The characterful dining area can seat 4 people comfortably. The lounge has two comfy sofas, a flat screen TV with Sky Satellite TV, DVD player, CD player, WiFi and an open log fire. There is a quiet writing corner with desk and a wide selection of Scottish novels.

Upstairs there is a very light and bright bathroom with shower over the bath, WC, wash hand basin. The cottage has a double bedroom and a twin bedroom. Each room furnished with open shelving and a chest of drawers for storage.

Taigh Aonghais has a solid fuel range which provides the central heating along with portable electric heaters and a separate electric boiler provides hot water. There is private parking to the side of the house.

Please note: Due to owner preference, there are no curtains except on the bathroom window. Please be assured the property is not overlooked.
