Cottages sleeping up to 8 people

Keepers Cottage

Very much a family home, Keepers Cottage is situated in the pretty crofting township of Staffin in the north of the Isle of Skye, with the beach just a five minute walk away. Downstairs is open plan, and a great space for relaxing in. Upstairs there are four bedrooms (one of which has bunk beds which are perfect for the kids, but also large enough to sleep adults). The kids will love tearing up and down the long corridor!

Good for: beach combers, dinosaur loving children (the fossil museum is just 9 mile away)

Quiraing Cottage

Situated 2 miles from the village of Staffin, Quiraing Cottage is well placed for exploring the North of the island including the Trotternish ridge.  This holiday home has a great sense of space with patio doors bringing the outside in. Plenty of room in the lounge/dining area too. The master bedroom is on the ground floor, with a further three bedrooms and main bathroom upstairs. The driveway offers private parking for up to three vehicles.

Good for: groups of friends who enjoy the great outdoors, families with young children

Tarradale Cottage

With its prime waterfront location overlooking the bay, Tarradale offers a sense of calm within easy walking distance of the island’s main town of Portree. At the end of the day, sink into one of the Italian leather sofas in the lounge, and enjoy the superb views (or snuggle in front of the log burner on those less sunny days!). The three double bedrooms each have en suite facilities and a wall mounted TV. If you need to accommodate 8 people, there is also The Annex which includes a double bedroom and en suite (bookable only as an addition to a booking of the main house).

Ard na Mara

This spacious, well-appointed holiday home offers stunning views over Uig Bay and out towards Loch Snizort. Within easy walking distance of cafes, local shops and boat trips, Ard na Mara makes a great choice for families. The open kitchen / diner includes a well equipped kitchen and a large dining table. You can even sit and admire the view over breakfast! The children can let off some steam in the garden too. And there will be no arguments over the bedrooms, since all five of them are en suite.

Duirinish Lodge

Why not go for a grand country house? Dating back to 1936, Duirinish Lodge is rather special! Offering numerous rooms to explore, this place is large enough to get lost in! Special occasion? No problem. The formal dining room can seat everyone and there is even some posh china and crystal glasses to set the table with. Upstairs there are six bedrooms to choose from. Outside in the 18 acre private gardens you can wander the woodland paths to the summerhouses and ponds, enjoying the views or picking your own fresh ingredients from the fruit and vegetables.  Heaven!

Who says large has to be traditional? This modern house is large and airy, with plenty of space . In the open plan full height living area, it’s all about those views! The house overlooks Uig Bay and you can all stretch out on the sofas to watch the boats come and go! Want some smaller spaces for those quiet moments? Try the smaller ‘reading’ area on the landing or the small snug off the well appointed kitchen (also a great wee space for you to keep watch on the kids whilst you cook). Each of the bedrooms are en suite with the two upstairs doubles including their own walk in wardrobe/dressing areas.
